SHARK!

Posted on July 6th, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Today we went to the National aquarium in Plymouth. It was not far away, well it didn’t seem far as I had a good sleep on the way there. I woke up to mummy and daddy arguing over which car park they should leave the car i, thankfully they left it in the one that involved food! After a nice dinner we walked round to the aquarium and set about looking for sharks! It was a bit strange you had to go up 2 ramps and then in a lift because the top 2 floors didn’t have ramps to get to them. When we got to the top we had to come back down in a crazy open lift because there was nothing on the top floor, madness!!

There was loads of fish and some of the biggest fish tanks in Europe but they were so big it was hard to get pictures of them and none of our pictures really turned out right, daddy found some on the internet to show off how good it was.

After looking at the shark, fish and turtle we had a look arround the shop mummy said  could spend the rest of my pocket money on what ever I wanted and i picked a shark, we called him Elvis.

Sunday showers

Hmmm bit of a rubbish day today, we went shopping then came back and had a nap so that we could go out for a nice Sunday dinner and then a walk along the sea front at Paignton and then maybe round the shops. However we only got as far as the nice dinner before the rain started. We got to have a walk long the pier but then had to take shelter in the arcade on the pier. The rain cleared up just long enough for us to go and buy daddy a massive pastie and have a look at some train called Tornado, it was not Thomas so i was not bothered but daddy and loads of old men seemed to like it.

Independance day

Today I have been in a mega grump from the moment I woke up for the second time. We went to the living coast which is part of the zoo but for sea life. There was loads of Puffins, Penguins, Seals and birds, I dare say it was good but I didn’t really want to hang around and look at things I just wanted to climb on things and be a bugger. Daddy got sick put me in my push chair and gave me my snack pot which kept me quiet for a while.

After some lunch we came home and I had a sleep, mistakenly daddy thought it would be a good idea to go for a swim, however when we got there I just wanted to run off and cry because they wouldn’t let me drowned myself. Daddy got sick again and we all went home, some food kept me quiet but not for long I was soon off moaning and biting again. Maybe tomorrow I will get out of the right side of bed.

We’re all going to the zoo today!

The weather forecast wasn’t that good so we headed off to the zoo this morning. I was so raring to go and excited we managed to get there before the doors were even open – woops! Well we were barely past the Orangutangs when I was boiling and mummy stripped me naked and got me changed! I was much happier once I cooled down a bit and we carried on round the park. We saw lots of different animals but my favourite by far was the lions. The daddy lion came right up to the glass to see me but I wasn’t scared or about to share the contents of my snack pot!  Mummy wouldn’t let me bring him home but I did manage to sneak out one little friend…

This wasn’t what we ordered

Oh dear the weather seems to have forgotten we’re on holiday and it’s rained on and off all day today. We headed off in the car to an outlet shopping park only to find it was basicaly a big DIY shop and a closed themed park… So next we went to Buckfast Abbey because daddy remembered going when he was little. We didn’t stop long, just long enough for mummy to use the toilet and the rain to start again. After that mummy and daddy couldn’t decide what to do, we ended up in Newton Abbot Asda looking for some toys and a rain coat for me – they didn’t really have either but I did get a new book and a jigsaw and daddy got a pizza. We wandered through another shower to the town and had some nice lunch in a pub with a TV. Mummy spotted a toy shop across the road while we were eating so we went for a look.  I was having a great time playing with a Thomas train set and threw my best tantrum yet when it was time to go even though I was allowed to spend some of my pocket money and a new digger for playing on the beach and a dumper truck. They are pretty good toys but they’re not Thomas. Let’s hope the sun comes back tomorrow!

Quackers

Posted on July 1st, 2009 in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Guess who was in the swimming pool this morning? Only mummy duck and her babies! Ha ha that was quackers!

I had an early nap after my morning swim and after lunch daddy took us to the beach. We went to the bit near us at Goodrington Sands and it was very nice. Mummy eyed up the pub and daddy was impressed with the icecream shop. I had a great time knocking down mummy and daddy’s sandcastles and watching all the seagulls. I had a good snack of sand and tried a pebble but mummy popped it out my mouth, humph. I wasn’t so sure about the sea and when I finally decided I did like it after all it was time to go home – oh well I was promised we could come back another day.
