Mummy and Daddy left me in charge tonight whilst they went out to the pictures and for some food, Granny and Granddad did a good job of looking after me again, it was all very exciting, I hope mummy and daddy had as much fun.
Today we went to granny and granddads for the weekend. I was a very good boy all the way here in the car and when we got here granny and mummy took me to a wicked play centre.
I was very tired afterwards and had a really good sleep all night long.

After yesterday’s fresh air didn’t wear me out daddy decided we would go swimming today to try again. We went to Splash in Stockton and it was very busy because of the school holidays. But because it was busy they had all the bubble jets and sprayers on. I liked going on the bubbles but wasn’t so keen on being squirted. The best bit though was when the wave machine came on! I stayed asleep just long enough to stop mummy and daddy going to the pub for lunch but made sure I woke up as soon as we got home so I didn’t miss anything good!
After a little bit of shopping this morning we went to pick up Jessica and Mathew and went to Preston Park for my first big picnic. Daddy bought a new picnic rug so I christened it by squishing a blueberry on it when I’d finished my dinner. Then we went for a little walk before looking at the rabbits and finally going to the playground. I had a great time crawling and walking everywhere. Mummy and daddy only brought my pushchair along to hold all the jackets and drinks! Mummy tried to take me in the baby playground but I wanted to go on the big shiney slide – it was really good fun! When daddy fixes the computer you can watch my video. After all that fun it was time for ice creams – Mathew doesn’t like them but I do!!! Daddy finally said it was time to go home when Mathew started sulking because daddy pushed him too high on the swing… Mummy and daddy were worn out after all that fresh air, but not me!
Bit of a boring day today as daddy had to take nanna to the hospital so mummy and I just hung around the house waiting for daddy to come home and take us swimming. I gave up waiting at 1 o’clock and went to sleep. Mummy had a driving lesson at 4 so by the time I woke up there was not time to go swimming. The sun got out later on so we had a sit in the back garden after tea and a beer, cheers!
Well I finally did it last night and decided it was time to take a leap of faith. I took 2 or 3 steps all by myself from the table to mummy and was so excited I did it again 2 or 3 times! I have been watching the older kids at baby club and figured out that I need to walk flat on my feet not tiptoe and it’s much easier when I gave it a try. All day today I’ve been practising with just 1 of mummy’s fingers for support and I’m getting pretty good though I say so myself! I’ve gone solo a few times today to show daddy but didn’t want to be caught on video just yet until I’ve got it perfected! Maybe tomorrow Granny and Grandad…
This morning Daddy went to get Mummy’s new car. Its very nice my car seat fits in it much better than it does in daddy’s car and my push chair goes in the boot! We will take some pictures later and show you all.
