propper sick of being sick

oh dear what a day, Daddy had the day of work but still dumped me at nursery, saying something about getting his moneys worth. Its ok though cause he has gone Christmas shopping with Grandad to the Metro centre. I’m still a bit funny about them taking my shoes off me they don’t seem to realise they are mine and I want them! Not really felt like eating much again today, done lots of coughing today, I was just getting settled in bed and I coughed so much I made myself sick just as daddy was getting there to help me. Poor poorly me and mummy and daddy. I hope we are all better for Saturday when we go to see Granny and Grandad!

Oh no now daddy is ill too!

Oh dear will we ever get put right? Daddy is ill now!! We went shopping and he didn’t feel well but I think he just wanted to go outside to talk to his friend. When we got home he looked a bit green, so mummy and I went for a walk to leave him to do what he had to do! He said he felt better after he was sick but I think it was Jenson Button winning the world championship that really cheered him up! We had a good play whist watching the race.

Its good playing peekaboo under a blanket!

Stuck in with poorly mummy

Oh dear mummy was too ill to go out today, maybe we have all got swine flu (not sure what that is but it makes you go oink). I’m starting to find my voice much more these days, still not quite getting the words right but the sounds are getting there. As mummy was not well daddy took me swimming this morning rather than on Sunday, it was quite busy and people kept nicking the things I had been playing with before I got chance to get back round to play with them again, such liberty’s! I gave up after a while and demanded we got out as I was sure the soft play are would be quieter than the pool, I was right, daddy and I had a good time in there.

So after we went home we had to look after mummy for the rest of the day, we had a little walk to the shop to buy mummy some biscuits and daddy got me a in the night garden magazine!

Mummy and me have not been very well for the last few days, both of us are full of cold, daddy has been keeping right away from us both as he doesn’t want to be ill too!

Mummy and daddy both look really tired, they should try going to bed at 7 like me! then they would be ready to get up at 5am!

Happy birthday old man!

It’s daddy’s birthday today and I have been watching very intently while he opened his presents because mummy said I will have to open my own soon for Christmas! Daddy got lots of cards but my favourite was the envelope granny sent with a James sticker on, I’ve had my eye on that since Friday when mummy stopped me performing my usual post collecting duties.
Daddy wanted to go to Whitby for birthday fish and chips and I made sure I was a very good boy while he enjoyed his lunch. I must have been good cos he bought me an ice cream afterwards! Happy birthday daddy. love you xxx

Today we went all the way to Middlesbrough just to get me some smart new slippers. They are very nice they have George the pig and Mr. Dinosaur on them, daddy has been trying to get a picture of me wearing them but they are so good i just cant stay still! Mummy is just glad they are not Thomas, she has had enough of him and says he is banned from Christmas lists, hmmmm.

China town

Mummy has a list of schools she will have to visit over the next few weeks so we had a drive to Durham so mummy would know where all the schools are. Best news is she will be teaching in one near home called Manor comprehensive  most of the time which is much better than having to drive about all over every day. I had a good sleep whist they looked around at these schools but I woke up as we were on the way to dinner. Daddy had decided he wanted some real Chinese food so we went to China town in Newcastle I had brought a sandwich just in case I didn’t like what they ordered but turns out most of it was nice. They had dumplings, noodles, rice roles, spring roles and best of all prawn crackers! Chinese people eat with something called chop sticks so as we had gone all they way to china town I though it best to join in and dipped mine in the sweet and sour sauce, yum!

img00121-20090926-1248I’m not so good at posing for pictures but I’m even worse at sitting still in my push chair, it was soooo busy around they shops mummy said it was best for me to stay in the push chair and only let me out to walk they very last bit, but there was a man playing the bongos he was very interesting and although I didn’t have a dance I stood and watched for a good few minuets.

com’ on com’ do the locomotion with me!

Today Daddy and I set off early to go to a place called Locomotion in Shildon, I have never heard of it before but daddy said in the past it was the industrial centre of the world, I’m not sure what he meant but they had good trains there and that’s all I care. It was a long walk from the car park along a old railway line to the engine sheds but it was worth it when we got there cause they had a brilliant Thomas shop. They had a train named after Granny, look!

Later on we went to see Nanna, its the first time I have seen her in weeks. There was lots of people in and out to see her whilst we were there but grandad had a ready supply of chocolate buttons and biscuits to keep me out of trouble!
